Busy last week of August

This last week has been a little on the crazy side.  We started it off with having to head north to a Funeral.  The best part is that I got to see family that I usually only see once a year.  Here is a photo of all of the cousins minus 5.
Then my classes started and Ben was gone for a few days.  We enjoyed the pool a couple of nights since Wednesday was the last day.  Then on Thursday onto another funeral for my great-grandma who lived to be 105 years old!!!!

Kids Triathlon

This was our 3rd Annual Kids Triathlon.  It was a beautiful morning.  Devin even did it this year.  This post will mostly be a lot of pictures.
Here is a pre-photo at about 7am while we were setting up for the morning.
Devin is in the red swim shorts waiting for his turn.
 Can you see him!!!
Here is Melissa and I  (the Co-organizers of this event)
Mack was out great photographer for the event event and she got a bunch of fun photos.

Just got done swimming and running to his bake.

 And he is ready!!

He had that smile the whole time!!!!

 Almost there.
And he finished with a smile on his face.
Devin hanging with me at the finish line for a little bit.
Ben and Sully were out at one of the intersections to make sure kids were turning and cars were stopping.

Enjoying the pool

We have spent many days and evening at the pool this year.  I have to say living as close to the pool as we do is great.

A girls day

We took a day and did a girls day.  We thought be better do this before school started.  We headed to Spirit Lake for lunch, a little shopping and then a painting class.
Here we are all before we started.

This was so much fun and I believe we will be doing more of these.

Relay For Life

This year for Relay for Life was the first time that I have been on a team.  I go out every and walk for a bit, but have never done the team thing.  I also along with my niece Alexis donated my hair to Locks of Love.

Alexis before photos.  She even posed with Mandy before she let her cut her hair.

Devin and Kayla.  I got to spend the whole night with her and we were able to have some great talks about College.  She is really excited as am I for her, but I do have to say that we are going to miss her.
 Making sure there is enough.
I was the first person out of about 12 that got their hair cut that night.  I let Sully take the first cut of the evening.  He got it a little shorter and I ended up with getting 12 inches cut off.

 Our after photos.

The lighting of the bags.  Devin likes this part.

Here is our campsite at about 2:30 in the morning.  A few had gone to bed.  I did make it all night, helped clean up and went home to get about 2 hours of sleep.  Then I had to get up and get my hair fixed and then we were off to a family get together for the afternoon.  I did get another 2 hours of sleep a little later.  But I am not made to stay up all night any more.

Neighborhood Night Out

This years Neighborhood Night Out was Hosted at my mom's house for our neighborhood.  We had a lot of good fun and a fun time for all ages.

Devin even helped Jeff with the corn.  Well they might have just talked more then Devin helping out.
