The 4th of July

It had been a long day, but we did make it all the way to fireworks.  With being up early to go strawberry picking, to spending the day swimming, and the to end the day with fireworks.  We had one tired little man at our house.  We got to watch a beautiful sunset along with a great fireworks show.

Strawberry Picking

On the 4th of July we headed out bright and early to go strawberry picking.  It is always a fun time!!!  We all love strawberries and for the most part enjoy picking them.  I have cleaned and frozen all of mine, besides the ones that we ate right a way.  They were small, but tasty!!

Just the two of Us

For our Anniversary we were able to get out on the bike and go for a ride.  We did supper out and a walk in the park.  It was a nice night!!  Hard to believe it has been 7 years already. 

Our Friend's Little Girl

Here is Miss Olivia and I got the pleasure of doing Newborn pictures with her!!!  She is such a cuddle bug.  About a week or so after I took her pictures we were out at a friends house for a cook out and Devin was just loving her up.  He wanted to hold her a number of times. But he was happy to hand her back!!

A Visit to the Green Giant Museum

One day in July we thought a trip to the Green Giant Museum was in order.  Devin has been asking to go for a little while and it was a gloomy day, so why not.  He had a lot of fun just wondering around looking at everything and see how things were made.

Triathlon

This June myself, Melissa, and another girl did the Triathlon over in Jackson on a Friday night.  Instead of doing the whole triathlon each, we broke it up into a relay.  I got to swim!!!  Most would say that I got the easy part.  And well, I would have to agree since it was super windy outside for both the runner and the biker.  The only thing was that it was a last minute decision to do this event so I had not practice, not even once.  I can swim, but boy this was a lot of work when you are not use to it.  We had fun and it was nice to do it and see how another one is put together.

Swimming Lessons

This summer was the first summer that we have put Devin in swimming lessons.  He is already a little fish, so I think he got a little bored, but he had fun and that is all that matters.  They works on floating both front and back, diving for sticks or rings at the bottom of the pool, and swimming under the water.  This year he is finally tall of enough for the slide!!  He really likes the slide and will go down many times over and over.
