Jumpstart

On Monday this week Devin started Jumpstart!!!!  That is the main Preschool program in town and boy was he one excited little boy!!!  About a month ago we went shopping for a backpack and a folder.  Then a few weeks later for some new shoes.
It was tough for him to hold still long enough to get pictures because he was soooo excited and wanted to go.
 Daddy and Devin
 Mommy and Devin

We were both able to take and pick him up from school, which was great.  When we got there, he found his locker with his name on it and put everything inside of it.

Every day they have to check themselves in by writing their name.  He had a D down (somewhat).  And yes, he is going to be a lefty, and I have to say that I think my mom and my sister-in law are pretty happy about that!
Today was day #2 and I can't tell you how it went because I have not gotten him yet.  But this morning he was ready and waiting.  And when I say waiting it was not patiently at all.

Last Day at Little Giants

On Friday Devin had his last day at Little Giants (Daycare).  This mommy was ok, but the few weeks leading up to this day I was having a hard time with it.  He has gotten so big so fast.  Where does all the time go.  I am happy for him and glad that he is growing and strong and healthy, but sometimes you just want that little toddler, baby, or whatever age/stage.
Below is a picture of Devin and Ms. Linda.  When he started Ms. Linda was his teacher in the infant room, then again when he was in the toddler (2yr old) room, and he has always had a special bond with her.  Every morning he will run to her to get his cuddles in before he goes and plays.  The best part was that I had Ms. Linda as my Preschool teacher when I was little!!!!

Then we have Ms. Betsy.  He has been in her room for the last 2yrs.  And I have seen many changes since he has been in her room.  She will be missed by all in our house.
Ms. Kerri is only in his room a few days a week, but he really liked and gets along with her well.  We will miss her.

Sioux Falls

Yesterday we went on a day trip to Sioux Falls.  We brought Chloe with us for a little something extra and we all had a great time.  We hit up the zoo, the mall and then the Falls Park, it was around 96 degrees out and boy was it HOT.

The kids did pretty well at the zoo for being as hot as it was.  They thought these eggs were fun to play in.  We were on no time frame so we just roomed and played.
For something extra fun they got to ride a camel.  It was a special treat and they really liked it.

After the zoo we headed to the mall to cool down a bit and just walk around.  Then we found oursselves at the Falls Park to do a little running and climbing.  This picture of Devin, if I was to pull it back you would see that he is really high up.

Now this photo was hard to get.  He was hot and tired and did not want to sit still.

On the way home no one sleep which I thought for sure the little ones would have, but nope.  Oh well, it was a lot of fun.

End of Summer Fun

One morning about two weeks ago Devin and I were home and headed out to play bubbles before it got too hot.

These next photos were taken on the last day that the pool was open.  It closed Tuesday this last week and this weekend was is a HOT one, but we can make our own fun and find different ways to cool down.

This toy was used everyday at the pool.  It is a lot of fun to spray everyone.
