A Warm Day

Sunday was a beautiful day. We decided to go sledding around 10-10:30 and we were gone for about an hour. We walked down to the pool and went down the hill behind the pool. It was just Devin's size. After his nap (which was really short) we went outside to play again and cleaned the driveway and played with the snow. After an hour outside we headed to the Big sledding hill. He had so much fun.
Devin thought it was so much fun to throw snow at Ben and I. I love the devilish look on his face.
It was a lot of work pulling him and his shovel. We can't forget the shovel that had to go with us. And go down the hill with us. The snow at the pool was not packed down, so it was really hard to walk without falling through.
Devin throwing snow at us again. This time it was with his shovel.

Ben thought it was his turn to get pulled. So Devin tried his best, but it was a no go.

Devin and myself.

I love you dear, thanks for such a fun day!!
Devin got to go down by himself a few times. And he LOVED it. All you saw was a big smile and lots of giggles.
This was the only time he fell out and it was his first time down the hill by himself. All he did was laugh. And wanted more.
What a beautiful day!!!

One last Christmas

On Saturday we meet in Fairmont and had lunch at the Pizza Ranch with Diane, Pat & Robin and Family for one last Christmas. The kids did pretty good eating, but I think that is only because there were a group of bigger kids playing the games. After lunch they all had fun playing and running around. Devin had to have a turn to show off his skills, lucky dad and Alexis were around to help get the balls in the holes otherwise we would have been there all day.
After presents we all went swimming. The kids love jumping on the bed. Fun times for all.

Devin and Austin kicking water at each other. Devin had a lot of fun in the pool. He even would float on his back and try to swim on his tummy.
The whole group of us, minus Diane. Someone had to take the picture. Out of a couple of takes this is the best one.

One last photo before we all left. What a nice afternoon.

Open Gym

On Saturday both Ben and I took Devin to Open Gym at Little Giants. He loves the scooter car. I think he left it maybe for 5 minutes total, otherwise he was on it the whole time. He likes to ZOOM around the gym.
"Look how innocent I am!!"

Pic of the day

Devin loves to plug things in and he is smiling because I caught him in action!!

Snow

Well December was the month of snow. It was nice at first, but by the first of the New Year I am ready for it to go. Here are a few pictures of our back and front yard. Can you say drifts!! I think it would be a lot of fun to play in all of this snow, but it is way too cold. I has been a week of below zero temps and I am ready for a warm up.
Sun dogs all day long. At least the sun is out. That is the positive way to look at it.

We have never had a drift that big on the side of the house.

Yesterday morning

I was working on the computer getting ready for the start of a new semester and I look over to find Jordan on the couch with her new bear all curled up.

Christmas with Grandma Phyllis

Over the weekend Grandma Phyllis came to spend some time with Devin. I don't think we could have had a weekend that was any colder than it was. It was so cold that when I went to try to start my car on Saturday morning it didn't even turn over. That sucked because I was already to go and work out. But what do you do when it is -20 and wind chills were like -40. Around lunchtime Grandma showed up, good thing her car started.
Devin had a lot of fun playing with Grandma Phyllis. They played a lot in his room and with Play-doh. Ben and I heard a lot of giggles!!
For Christmas Devin got his very own camera and he was very excited. I think in the first half hour he took about 100 photos.
Having a good time playing Play-doh with Grandma Phyllis.
