Simple times

Every once in awhile you can capture simple and precious moments.

Happy Mother's Day

For Mother's Day Ben, Devin and I went to Mankato for the day. And a great day it was. We just wondered around and went to the park for a little while. We had no time frame, no where we needed to go or be, it was nice to just go and last minute decided what we were going to do.

Devin really likes the big swings. Most of the time he will sit nice on them.

Then there were the cows. He thought it was fun to see how high he could climb.
"look what I see." There were ducks and fish in the pond to look at. HE had to point each one of them out to us. It is so much fun to see excitement and joy in his eyes.

No little park would be complete without some goats. Devin even tried to pet them. He wasn't too sure about that.

Big Boy haircut

Last night Devin and Ben both got their haircut. Devin was very proud of his new do. He would turn around so I could get of picture of the front and the back, well the side. It makes him look so much older, but I love the new summer look.

What a good supper

For the last week or so Devin has not been eating as well, but that is OK because a few weeks before that he was eating like a cow. This is what he wanted for supper the other night. He already had the chips and he got out the cool whip and a spoon all on his own.

Then he had to add the cool whip to his bowl of chips.

Man, that is some good cool whip.

Gotta love the mind of a 2 year old!!!

Cook out

On Saturday we had the Groe's over for supper. We all had such a great time. They brought Chloe's Jeep with. Of course they had to switch rides!!! I love the pink ride Devin!

Devin got to spend some time with his "Andy". That is what he calls Mandy. Every once in awhile we will hear the "M", but not that often.

Picnic

Last Saturday I found this picnic table on a garage sale for $3.00 and Devin loves it!!!! I have been looking for one for awhile, but have not wanted to spend the price for a new one. This one looks brand new, almost like it has never been outside. He loves to sit at "my table" that is what he calls it. So, last night while I was making supper he brought out some grapes and strawberries and ate those while I was cooking. When it was time to eat we asked him where we were going to eat and he said "outside."

He eat pretty good for being outside. I have a feeling this is where we will be eating a lot this spring and summer and maybe into the fall.

Daddy's little helper

Last night Ben really and I mean REALLY needed to get the lawn mowed. Devin thought that he should be able to help. He pushed the lawn mower all the way from the garage to the front yard and wanted to start without Ben. So, Ben let him help for awhile. It was so cute how he would try to push just like daddy. I did have to take Devin for a ride otherwise it would have taken Ben all night to get it done.

Later they got out Devin's gator and filled it with the grass clippings and dumped it. Devin was having fun driving in the backyard and he is really getting the hang of it. He even has reverse down!!!
