Devin's first Christmas Concert

Last week was Devin's first school Christmas Concert.  It was just grades K-2nd, but it was a gym full.  It was a nice evening of wonderful songs new and old.

Celebrating Devin's birthday with Family

The following Sunday we got together with Family to celebrate Devin's birthday.  It was a great day!!!

Devin's 6th Birthday

For Devin's 6th Birthday it was the day before Thanksgiving this year and they had no school so it worked out great.  He invited a group of friend to go swimming.  They had a blast and boy did 3 hours go by fast!!!!

One of our friends surprised Devin be bringing out the firetruck and taking the kids on a ride around town.

And then to end the day he got to Break his First board!!!!!!!

Halloween 2013

It was a chiller evening, but it could have been worse.  We did our normal route with a friend of ours along with a handful of extra stops.

Trip to Vegas

At the end of October, Ben and I took a trip to Las Vegas.  Well, he went for work and I went along to just relax.  I am not sure how much relaxing I did because there was a lot of walking involved.

September

September was a crazy busy month, so this is how I am going to blog about last month.

During the Holiday weekend we made a little trip to Iowa to enjoy the day.  Of course the Merry-Go-Round is the first ride that Devin wanted to go on.  He loves the Merry-Go-Round!!!

 We finally made Devin take his first Ferris Wheel ride.  I believe by the end he liked it, but he was not sure at first.  What a beautiful view from the top.

 The Bumper Cars are always a big hit.  He is not tall enough to ride by himself yet.

 Devin could have rode the Log Ride all day if you let him.

 Then we had his very first day of school!!!

 The park is always a favorite and it can be hard to get him to leave sometimes.

 Devin is really into music right now.  He likes to listen to it around the house and sometimes even when we go for walks.

 We did some canning including freezer corn.

 As of right now Devin enjoys doing homework and even asks for more.  I hope it last, so we try not to push it too much since he is enjoying it.

Sometimes they are buddies

I don't know what it is, but sometimes these two just do not get a long.  It might be because they are so close in age, they are boys, or completely different, or very much the same in some ways.  But most of the time they are always telling on each other and agreeing about something or another.  But this day they were the Best of Buds.  It was so much fun to watch them play and interact.  I hope this change continues and they grow to best of friends and not just cousins!!!
