Jumpstart's Prom

On Wednesday this week, Jumpstart had a Prom.  All of the kids got dressed up and had a grand march, pictures, and a dance.  They were all very excited about this day.  Devin picked out his own shirt and tie when we were in Mankato over the weekend.  He was handsome little man if I do say!!!!

Mother's Day

Mother's day was the day after dance recital, so my boys let me sleep in and boy did that feel great.  Once we were all up and moving we got ready and headed to Mankato for the day.  We did a little shopping and then out for lunch at Dino's for pizza.  After that we went to the park to spend part of the afternoon.  We ran, climbed, checked out the animals, and played on the playground.  It was a great day.

Dance Recital 2013

Devin did dance again this year.  I also taught 3 classes this year.  My girls did a great job at the dance recital and I was very proud of them.  Some times I really miss teaching, but my schedule is just too crazy to make everything work.

Devin's class had more boys in it this year over last; which was really awesome.  They did a Men in Black song and he was excited about that one.  At the shows he did really well, but not so much at rehearsal.  I was a little worried that he would not dance on the stage and just stand there.  But he got up there and did his thing.  He is not the best, but he is a boy and only 5 so that is AWESOME in my eyes!!!

 Devin has a special friend and she is graduating this year.  Of course we had to get a few pictures together.

 Here I am with the Senior girls.  Some of these girls I have been with since they were really young.  I have enjoyed watching and being a part of there life.  It was a pleasure to help them with their Senior group dance along with some of their Senior solos.  They are all beautiful dancers!!

A Mom's Day

After Austin's graduation we headed to Spirit Lake to do a little shopping.  It was a great day!!!!  I got to spend it with my mom and my grandma.  These two women are so important to me and I do look up to both of them.

Austin's Preschool Graduation

Last Friday myself and my mom headed over to watch Austin graduate from Preschool.  What a handsome little man he is.  It is hard to believe that my son and my nephew will be in Kindergarten  in the Fall.

Another year of Dance

Next weekend on Saturday is Dance Recital!!!!  Devin will be dancing for his second year and really excited about his dances and costume.  I had to pleasure this year of taking the Senior girls group photo along with some solo outfits too.  Some of these girls I have been teaching since they were little and it is going to be really hard to watch them perform.  I have been working with them on a group number and solos and they are all beautiful dancers!!

New Tree

 

At Jumpstart last week the High schoolers came in and talked about Earth day and the environment. All of the Jumpstarter were given a little tree to plant.  Over the weekend it was finally warm (70 degrees) so we thought it would be perfect to plant it.  Little did we know that less than a week later we would be getting 6 inches of snow (but it all melted in that same day). 

Prom 2013

This year for Prom I went over to Kayla's house to help her with her make-up and another girl's also.  Later that night we all went to Grand March.  Of course we needed some pictures with some of Devin's favorite ladies in his life!!!!!  As you can tell he really did not want his pictures taken.

The Circus came to the area

A little over a week ago the Circus came to the area.  Since I had to work late a friend of mine brought Devin over with them and we met up for supper and fun.  He enjoyed the show, but I think the dog tricks were his favorite!

Devin's Gymnastics Fun Meet 2013

About 2 weeks Devin had his Fun Meet for gymnastic.  It was a time for him and his friends to show what they have learned over the last year.  He had Kayla as his main teacher, but Haley and Kristine also helped out.

Spring Snow Storm

This winter for us was a little on the calm side in terms of snow storms, but as soon as Spring comes into play, well welcome to Minnesota.  In April we were blessed with a couple of wet, heavy snow falls and then again on May 1st.  Really snow in May, not happy about that one, but what do you do.  Devin had a great time shoveling the snow and even got down on his hands and knees for the heavy wet stuff!!!

First Communion

At the beginning of April we went over for Alexis' First Communion.  She was very beautiful in her dress. 

I think at the beginning of the month we were over in Jackson every weekend.  We went for Easter, then the following weekend was first communion, and then the weekend after that was dance recital over there.  It has been a busy Spring even if we really have not had one yet.
