Driving Board part 2

So for the next 2 hours we were on and off that driving board.  I called Ben to come down and come swim with us.  The next day I remembered my camera so that I could take pictures and a video of him jumping off.

Driving Board

So last Saturday Devin and I went to the pool for a little fun in the sun.  Well the sun didn't want to come out right away, but we made the most of it.  I believe for about an hour or more we were there and so were about only 5 other people.  He wanted to go off the driving board, so we tried and he would walk out and then turn back and then try again, and then sit on the edge.  It just wasn't happening and even one of the lifegaurds tried to get him to go.  Then the neighbors came down and with the lifegaurds ok, I was able to drop him in to Jeff.  Once he got to the edge of the pool his response was, "Can I do that again.  That was way cool."

National Rally

So, about 2 weeks ago I went to Dallas/Fort Worth area for a National Rally for Premier Design Jewelry and boy was that a lot of fun.  I was able to get some great training and see the new and wonderful Fall/winter Line.

Ingrid, Shelbie and I day 2
On our last night we went down to the Stockyards for a little shopping and dinner.  And in that area is the rodeo and we were able to have our picture taken with a Bull.

One of the new necklaces, being shown how it can be wore more than one way.  I love how all of our jewelry can be wore more than one way, you really get your money's worth!!!!

Fair week

Last week was another HOT Fair week.  This year the fair had a few down falls.  First of all they had moved the date of the fair up by one week which meant some of the vendors were unable to attend.  And then Secondly, the rides really did not show up.  There were about 6 rides and only 2 people to run them.  We still made the most of it and Devin enjoyed riding the Firetruck/car ride and the Swings.  He really likes the animal barns where he can pet the animals.
On Thursday we had him to the Tractor Pull.  He did pretty good, no awards, but still good in my book.

Devin won a Purple, Champion ribbon on his photo of the flowers that he took!!!!!!!!!

My Little Ham!!

One morning this last month I wanted to check out a few different spots to take pictures and so Devin volunteered to be my model.  And he was able to take some photos too that was the deal.

This photo below was taken by Devin (4 1/2 years old).  I took a few pictures of him with my good camera and then he wanted to take some of the flowers, so I handed him my camera and this what he took.  We entered this photo in the fair for him.  You will have to wait for another post to see how he did!!!

A Busy End of June and Beginning of July

This has been a very busy summer for us between work, play, trips, pool, and whatever else you can think of.
The first Saturday of July, Pat and Alexis came over to work on the house.  And I took the kids so that they could finish it up.  That day Sean and I took 4 kids to a parade in a neighboring town.  They had a lot of fun getting LOTS of candy, petting the animals at the petting zoo and getting balloon animals.  They all really like the guinea pigs.
Towards the end of June I had some minor surgery, I had my gallbladder removed.  Which I am super glad that it is gone.  That was a long two months, between trying to figure out what was wrong with me and then having to wait for surgery.  But it is out and I am almost done with all of my restrictions!!!!  About a week after my surgery Devin, my mom and I went over to Jackson and watch the Little Miss Jackson contest.  In which Alexis won!!!  The best part of it is that it is a random drawing a name out of a hat and her name was picked.  I loved watching her wait while they were drawing the names out and then seeing her face when they announced the winner.
Devin having fun dancing around to the music after the Little Miss.
On that following Saturday, Devin and I returned to Jackson to watch the Kids Triathlon and the parade.  I was there not only to watch Alexis, but to do a little research for my Kids Triathlon that we are having on August 4th!!!

Then it was the fourth of July!!!!  Wow, summer time really does go by too fast.  It has been HOT and Humid, which I don't mind too much.  We have been pool rats most of the summer and Devin loves it there.  But on the Fourth a bunch of us went to the new Spiderman movie and then had a cook out at a friend's house.  Of course we had to do some sprinklers before anyone could leave.  Young and old got into them also!!!!!
