Memorial Day

We had a nice and relaxing weekend. We went to Mankato to do a little shopping on Saturday. Sunday we stayed home and played inside and outside when it wasn't raining. Then on Monday we just played outside all day. We all enjoyed the sun and the warm weather (yeah 90 degrees!!!)

Devin had to get his gun out and do some shooting.

Rode around on the gater. Many bike rides (both his and one of us taking him out), scooter rides, and just plan running around.
Can we say that we are one happy boy to be outside.

After naptime we headed to DQ for an ice cream cone and to hang at the Green Giant for a little bit.

Devin had to bring his scooter with.

Riding down a hill.

So much fun!!

Then we got out the water toys once Ben got the yard down. Devin had so much more fun in it this year then he did last year.

Rainbows and Flowers

This spring has been a long time coming. We had a little warm weather ans then it got cold again, not my favorite. I have finally got all of my plants potted and just have to work on my vegetables. We have had a few strong storms, but nothing too bad so far this season. But last Sunday we had a day of on and off showers and the results at the end of the day was a double rainbow.

If you look closely you can see it in this photo.
Here are a few photos of some of my plants.

Photo Time

Devin wanted to play outside and I wanted to take some pictures, well this was the outfit he had on (not my choice for photos) and he really didn't want me to take his pictures. But I got a cute one of his outfit!

And then this nice one in front of a tree.

Breakfast at the Fire Hall

Two weeks ago now we had Breakfast at the Fire Hall and even got to go on a fire truck ride or two for some. We had pancakes, sausage and juice or milk and then enjoyed checking out the firetrucks. Pat, Robin and the kids came for dance recital and then stayed for breakfast.

The firemen gave out fire hats to all of the kids this year!!

Sean wanted to show Devin the water truck, but Devin just wanted to run!
The boys plus Alexis on their fire truck ride. Devin likes to sit in the middle so that he can see out the big window.

Trying on all of the gear.

He really liked the mask for some reason.

I love this one!!!!

With everything on besides the boots.

Dance Recital

Even though I don't teach anymore doesn't mean that I'm not still a part of Dancers Unlimited. This year not only did I help with some of the senior solos, but I taught for 6 weeks after Shelby had her beautiful baby girl. I really do miss dance and wished that I had more time in my schedule for it.

This was Kathy's 25th year of teaching dance and we thought it would be fun to do a reunion dance. So, Kathy found a song (Janet Jackson of course) and then we sent the choreography out for those to learn on their own. A few of us met a few times otherwise it wasn't till the day of the show that we all got together for the first time. I have to say that we did a really good job!!! I might even do an adult class next year!

I have to say that I do love the 80's hair and clothing!!!!!!

Flying a Kite

Last year for Easter Devin got a kite and this year was the first time we have used it. We took it out back and tried it out. It didn't go over very well, but he had a blast with it!

Gymnastic Fun Meet

This last fall Ben and I decided that we were going to put Devin in Gymnastics. I was a gymnast in high school and coached for many years after. I thought that it would be good for him. And he loves it. Kayla (who is his main baby-sitter) and Hayley were his coaches; which he just loves them. There were about 5 boys total ranging in age from 3 to 5 years old.

Sittin' with Hayley waiting for his turn.
He is so proud of the fact that he can walk across the beam!

Time to swing on the bars.

Nothing is better than rolling around the floor!

Devin and Kayla!!!

Easter

Easter morning Devin woke around 6:30 like any other morning. Ben was going to get up with him, but when I heard him running across the floor I figured I should get up. He was sitting on the couch and said, "the Easter bunny brought me my big bike!"

Look at that happy face!!
For lunch we went to Hi-Lo with my grandparents, mom, Pat's family, Brandon and Tim. We had a nice lunch and then headed back to my grandparent's house to hunt eggs and just hang out.
Here Devin is with his Great-grandma

Our family

Great-Grandma, Grandma and their grandkids!!

Hunting Easter eggs.

Look at me!!!

Easter egg hunt

The Saturday right before Easter, that morning we headed to Winnebago for an Easter egg hunt. They had rabbits their that kids could hold and pet. He really liked holding the bunny. Devin and the bunny got their picture in the Winnebago paper!! That is because he is soooo cute.

And we are off!!
After they were done their were a bunch of eggs in the area for the bigger kids, so Devin headed over to pick them up.

Filling his bucket.

Look at that full bucket!!
