First Summer Storm

This evening was our first storm of the summer. I knew it was coming all day just a matter of when. Around 3pm I picked Devin up for daycare and we went swimming, we weren't there very long and the storm clouds started to roll in. About 45 minutes after the first sight of lighting, which lead to us having to leave the pool, it started to rain. When Benn got home he asked Devin if he wanted to play in the rain and of course the answer was YES!! But once Ben got changed and they were about to head out the sirens started going off. We headed downstairs for a little while. After about 15 minutes I came back up and turned the TV on to see where the storm was at now and it was moving slowing out of our area. So, the boys headed out for a little bit.
He was having fun.
They came in for supper and then headed right back out. They were both outside during several downpours and Devin didn't care one little bit.
About 8:30pm I went out and took some photos of the sky after the storm. I love how it looks after a storm, the colors are so interesting.
These are some awesome clouds.

My Garden

This year I have my very first garden. We planted it at my father in-law's house since he had a space for it and I wanted to see if I enjoyed it before I dug up our yard. Today I went and checked on it, since I hadn't been there for all most a week since it has been raining so it didn't need to be watered.
I have flowers on my pepper plants!
I have my first Roma tomatoes!
Green beans are starting to look good!
My whole garden. Needs to be weeded by the pumpkins, but otherwise it looks great!!

Movie Time

Just recently Devin has been wanting to watch movies. He has two favorite movies right now and will watch most of them. We have gotten so he will watch them in his room by himself for a while. It can range from 5 minutes to 30 minutes!!! When you go and check on him this is how you will find him in his bed.

Parade

Yesterday was the start of our parade season!!! We went over to Fairmont for their parade and Mandy and Chloe joined us. We got there early so we had about an hour to wait. We found mini donuts (YUM!!) and even had time for a little walk.
Chloe and Devin having fun before the parade started.
I love Devin's face in this photo. He is seeing the start of the parade and is not too sure about it. It took him a long time to warm up to the whole parade idea. By the end of the season he is a pro! But we usually have a slow start and yesterday was very slow since he only had about a 30 minute nap and that was on the way to Fairmont at 5pm.

JUMP

When we go and visit Kayla, Devin had found that he likes the trampoline. He likes to jump and jump high. This is new this year, in the past we have put him on it and he never really cared for it. Now, he loves to jump and fall down. There are always a lot of giggles that come from him!
HE always has a big smile on his face when he jumps.
It is so much fun to fall on your butt when you are jumping.

Devin and Grandpa

After work if Devin and I are outside Grandpa will stop once in awhile. Some times it is just to visit, others it is to give me an update on the garden if I haven't been there in a couple of days. But I think it is all about Devin every time he stops, which is perfectly OK with us. We are happy that Devin has so many grandparents in his life and he loves each and everyone of them!

"I'm stuck."
Playing with grandpa.

Park and Rain

A few weeks ago Pat and Robin and the kids came to Blue Earth to visit and play. After lunch we headed to the park even with dark clouds in the sky. The kids were excited to play.
All of them had to try the monkey bars. Thanks to Pat's help they all made it across. Austin first and all smiles.
Then Alexis!
And not to be out done, Devin had to show his skills.
With a few cracks of thunder and a little lighten we all head home in hopes to bet the rain. We got a little wet, but we just barely missed the big down pour. After the rain we went out to play in the puddles.
Alexis came to join us in the water. Rain puddles are so much fun too jump in.
It rained a little more that day and later that night we went to play again. He Devin is getting ready to jump high.
Look at all of that air!!!!!
Summer rains are so much fun for little boys and little girls and some times for mommy and daddy's.
