9 months old

Devin is already 9 months old. I can't believe how the time has gone by. He is getting so big and sooo active. He is developing such a little personality. It is so much fun to watch him play with his toys and explores the his surroundings. He is getting really good at standing all by himself. He is getting braver and braver each time and standing longer and longer each time. It is really funny to watch him stand because he gets so excited and starts laughing and his laugh makes you laugh right along with him.

Star Wars

Yesterday Ben and I went to the cities for the day. We went to the Science Museum to see the Star Wars exhibit. We dropped Devin off at daycare and then we were off. We arrived around 11am and then started our way through the exhibits. I think Ben really enjoyed seeing the costumes and models that made Stars Wars. Ben built a car out of legos that would float. He also worked on building a town. I really liked seeing how robots and that kind of technology can and has helped us. After the Museum we headed to the Mall of America for a little while then home. It was a great day together. We need to remember that we need these days!!

To The Farm

Today my mom, Devin and I went to Jackson. We took sweet corn over to my grandparents. Devin fell asleep right as we pulled into Jackson, so we left him in the car while Grandpa, Tim and I cleaned the corn outside. After Devin woke up he thought that he needed to help with the corn!!

After the corn was done and lunch was not ready yet we went for a walk to the barn to see how well Grandpa Charlie has been cleaning it. Then Tim was going to take him for a ride in the bobcat, but Devin started to cry as soon as Tim turned it on. We did go for a ride on the 4-wheeler with Grandpa Charlie. Devin did not like it at first, but he started to warm up to it.

Trip to Brainerd

On Sunday my mom, myself, and Devin left for a few days. We started our trip with a day of shopping. We went to the Albertville Outlet mall. We had a lot of luck looking for the kids. Devin is set for fall and a into winter with clothes. We found a lot of great deals. As for Devin himself, he was a pretty good shopper. Towards the end he strated to get fussy and did not want to be in the stroller anymore. As for me and mom, we did not have as much luck. I found some shoes (of course)!! After our LONG day in Albertville we headed for St. Cloud to spend the night. Devin and I had a good time in the pool. The water was great, almost as warm as a hot tub. Either way it felt good on my tired legs and feet. After a relaxing swim it was time for Devin to get ready for bed and call it a day.


On Monday morning we headed for Brainerd. Once there we went to my Aunt and Uncle's house. Shortly after arriving Katy and her three boys came over. Devin was in heaven having the boys to play with. Trenton and him played together most of the time that we were there.

We got a chance to catch up with some family. Which was nice to see everyone and spend time with them. We don't get to do that that often. After a long day of playing, that night Devin was out cold. He slept so good that night, which means I slept good also!!! The next morning we stopped to see Cheryl and the kids before we left and we had to get a picture of the two Devins.

Block Party

Tonight we went to a neighborhood block party at Bruce and Bonnie's house. Devin had a lot of fun once he warmed up to everyone. I was surprised how many young kids there were in the neighborhood again. It was fun to see all the kids and it will be even more fun once they are able to play together better. At the block party Devin got his first taste of Green Giant sweet corn!!!!!!
The last few days Devin has been trying more and more to stand on his own. He will be holding onto something and then all of the sudden let go. He will stand for a few seconds and then fall down. He is also walking along the furniture. Some day really soon I think he will be walking.

Cousins

On Saturday, we went to Jackson to visit Patrick, Robin, Alexis, and Austin for the day. There was not a lot going on here in Blue Earth, so we thought that we would go and see what they were doing in Jackson. I think that Alexis was really excited to see Devin. She kept giving him hugs and wanting to play with him. Usually Devin wants to play with little kids, but Alexis he was like HELP ME!!! No I am kidding. He liked playing with her when it was on his terms and not hers. Alexis and Devin went swimming after lunch. They had a lot of fun. Devin liked going down the slide and landing on Alexis.

Austin and Devin are both growing up so fast. They are almost the small size in every way. They don't play together yet, but some time soon they will. When we would put Devin down on the floor by Austin, he would just crawl right over top of him. My son can be such a bully!!!!!

"Da-Da"

As of yesterday; Devin's newest babble is "da-da". He will just babble away and most of it is either "blah-blah" or "da-da". Ben was pretty happy to hear that. Devin will lay in his crib in the mornings and just babble away for awhile. Which is nice because then we can either get ready or sleep a little longer.
