Busy days

It seems like we are always doing something.  I was hoping for a next relaxing Friday off with my little guy.  Well, that did not exactly happen, but it was still a fun day.  We started off our day reading a couple of stories.  And then after a while headed to the library to read some more.

In the morning we did a little gardening.  We needed to get some weeding done and check on the plants.

 While we were there we played with the horses, kitties, and goats.

 After lunch which was at the food stand we went to soccer.  Then it was time to hit the pool!!!! 

 And this was at the end of the day.  He fell asleep right at 8pm, which is REALLY early for him.

Soccer

This week was his first week of Community Ed activities.  Devin did Soccer and a Photography class this week.  The next few weeks he has other activities to give a try!  He seem to really like soccer and did a good job.  The only thing that I have ever wanted is for him to try as many things as he can and get a feeling for what he really likes and wants to be involved in.  It is nice that they had a soccer option since our town does not have it as a sport.

A trip to the Como Zoo and a waterpark

About a week ago we headed to the Cities for a little fun.  We made a trip to the Como Zoo and then to a Waterpark for a fun filled day.  Devin invited his friend Ruby along with us and we meet up with my friend Pam.

 It warmed up pretty fast and Popsicles were in order to help cool down.

 They really liked the Monkeys.

 

We were maybe five miles from the zoo and when I looked back this is what I found.  They were both out cold for the ride to the waterpark.



 

They had fun swimming, riding down the slide and floating along the lazy river.  When we were down swimming we headed to supper and as you can tell by their faces they were tried.  They watched a movie the whole way home, which surprised me that they did not fall asleep.

Last Day of School

Monday, June 2nd was Devin's last day of Kindergarten.  He was very excited for this day!!!  Posted below is a picture from his first day and from his last day!  Boy, did this year go by fast.  He learned so much and I am so proud of him!

Color Run

We made a trip to Iowa to do a Color Run.  It was a small event and everyone had fun.  The boys rode their scooters the whole 3 miles and Devin legs (calves) hurt for a coupl days following the run.

 We got color along the way, but at the end they have a color celebration and throw color into the air.  Well, Devin just dumped the color right onto his head.

Testing for Orange Belt

In May Devin had testing for his Orange Belt.  Both him and Ben got their Orange belts.
