Today would be my dad's birthday. Pat, Robin and the kids came to town to time and we all went to the cemetery together. Diane even met us there. We brought flowers, balloons, and cupcakes (because what would a birthday be without cake). The kids sang happy birthday and released the balloons at the same time.
There is not one day that does not go by that I don't think about my dad. I think about what was and what might have been. I am thankful for time that we had together and that he got to know my son, but I will always wish that there could have been more time. But I guess the memories are what we need to hold on to.

Craving Pumpkin
On Wednesday night we decided to crave a pumpkin. We used a designed and traced it. I cut the lid and then cleaned it out and then Ben cut the design out.
A late afternoon trip
A couple of Sundays ago we met up with Pat, Robin and the kids. We spent a few hours running and playing. It took Devin awhile to warm, but when he did he enjoyed himself. The kids took their turn riding in the barrel train.
Star Wars
In our room Ben has a couple of star Wars piggy banks. They all make different noises and have different characters on them, but Devin has his favorite. The first time we pushed the button he freaked out. He was scared and wanted it turned off. But now he wants to play it all of the time. And when he plays it he DANCES. He trys to copy the actions the character is doing. He gets so excited which results in a huge smile.

Fall photos
Fall photos. I took Devin to try to get some fall photos, but he really wasn't having it. I got a few smiles, but then he was done really fast.
I hope the snow that we got today will be gone soon, so that we can get out and enjoy the fall. Last night Devin and I were playing in the leaves and he was having a lot of fun. But it looks like it might be another week before we can do that again.
Girls Night Out
At the beginning of October we had a Girls Night Out. A couple of girls in our group had birthdays around each other, so what is better than food, friends, and no husbands or kids!!! There was about 15 of us girls and we just headed uptown.
Future Driver
Devin really likes to ride in the neighbor's Cozy Coupe Car, so I thought that he needed his own. He was so excited when we took it out of the box. He got right into the the base of it, he didn't care that there were no wheels on it. He was right at dad's side helping him put it together. After it was all done he would wave "bye" and get in the car and go.
